LOCK YOUR MEDS AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

The Lock Your Meds campaign is an awareness campaign created by the National Family Partnership. The campaign  focuses on making adults aware of the dangers that prescription medications pose to children and young adults. The campaign includes a pledge that adults can take to properly secure their drugs and educate their children about the risks of drug abuse.

BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE

The Before It's Too Late campaign is a local awareness program set up by the Maryland Opioid Operational Command Center (OOCC) as part of efforts to combat the opioid crisis through education. The campaign teaches the public about Maryland's heroin, opioid, and fentanyl crisis and the risks of opioid use, The campaign works through PSAs, support groups, naloxone use training sessions, and more.

RX AWARENESS

Rx Awareness is an awareness campaign established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The campaign focuses on telling the stories of people whose lives were affected by prescription opioids, and aims to increase awareness that prescription opioids can be addictive and dangerous.

SMART Medicine

SMART Medicine is a local media campaign run by the Healthy St. Mary's Partnership, a coalition of private and public groups that works together to address health issues in our county. The campaign aims to generate awareness on the rising issue of opioid misuse, abuse, and overdose. It provides information and resources on the safe management of prescription medications, as well as the proper means of disposal.
